My Favourite Fishing Spots

Discover my cherished fishing locations, each holding a special place for unique reasons.

Why These Spots?

Some of these spots are my favourite because they are quiet and relaxing, some because they are close to home, and some because you can catch massive fish, or some you never know what you'll catch!

A Memorable Catch

At the Headingley boat launch, I had the incredible experience of catching my first Lake Sturgeon, which was my dream catch at the time!

Gear and Techniques

When river fishing, I recommend a Pickeral rig tipped with two worms. It can catch anything and is easy and affordable. Give it a try! The ideal set up for River fishing is a medium tackle Ugly Stick branded rod combined with a medium heavy fishing reel filled with 20 pound brained line. And don't forget to bring a rod holder!

Recommended Spots for Families
